Walk, Bike…Drone Nashville?

Part of our How Will You Serve series

Art and Drones and a more walkable/bikeable Nashville? Yes, please! That is just what came together last week at Amqui Elementary School. One of WalkBike Nashville’s mission is to create safer routes to school so the organization WalkBike Nashville contracted with artist Andee Rudloff to make a splash! And it was all captured from the air.

Andee created a mural-led bike lane along with the kids and adults helping to finish the paint. They now have a safer and much more fun way to get to school on their bike. WalkBike Nashville has been making the streets of Nashville more pedestrian/bike friendly since 1998. And with the growth in Nashville, we need more safe places to walk, bike and scoot.

Stephen Schween, our drone pilot, does his own walking & biking around East Nashville on his way to work or with his kids so this was a great way to help in his own neighborhood. Looks like a fun time was had by all!
